Традиционно в рамках научной сессии ВолГУ на кафедре английской филологии проводится межвузовский научно-практический семинар студентов и аспирантов«Теоретические и прикладные аспекты изучения современного медийного пространства».
Напомню, что прошлогодний семинар был посвящен 30-летнему юбилею кафедры английской филологии и открылся увлекательной презентацией, в которой студенты смогли узнать об истории кафедры и разыскать на фото прошлых лет своих преподавателей в качестве студентов.
Поздравив собравшихся студентов, аспирантов и преподавателей с неделей науки, зав. кафедрой, к.ф.н., доц., Лариса Анатольевна Кочетова рассказала о научно-исследовательской деятельности кафедры, а также выступила с докладом на тему: "Способы выражения игровой функции в рекламном дискурсе". В семинаре также приняла участие Буряковская Валерия Анатольевна, к.ф.н., доц. кафедры английской филологии Волгоградского государственного социально-педагогического университета, которая представила доклад на тему: "Язык в условиях функционирования массовой культуры: тенденции развития дискурсивных практик (на материале русского и английского языков)".
Студенты, магистранты, аспиранты и преподаватели кафедры английской филологии представили результаты своих научных исследований, а студенты первого курса получили возможность ознакомиться с работой разных секций, чтоб уже сегодня начать задумываться над тематикой своих будущих исследований.
